Airline ITU

Ray resigned as flight crew in 2007. That was 6 years ago.


Do I missed flying? Yes.

Since 2007, I am trying my level best to travel at least once a year. Mengubat kerinduan. Since, there are few destination yang Ray xpuas pergi..I make those destination as my priority.

Beijing is one those destination yang Ray tak puas discover. Those days, aircraft yang pergi ke Beijing ialah Airbus A330. Since tak rated jenis kapal tu…for the first 7 years of my flying career..tak pernah jejak kaki pun ke Beijing…sampai la the company decided to include me in airbus fleet. Itu pun ada la 2kali. Short stay…freezing cold -18degress. Jangan harap la nak discover sangat kan?

Last year, dengan gigihnya plan utk ke Beijing. Yippie!!

Ray naik airline ITU. Murah. Ada offer time tu.


Kebetulan juga dapat ground package yang murah nak mamps. Ibarat mengantuk disorongkan bantal…on your mark get set GO!

When you travel as a passenger…you intend to do lots of observing. At the same time…I am telling to myself…cheap flight…don't expect too much lahh kan. As long as selamat sampai…dah… yang lain-lain ...WHY BOTHER?

The stewardess on that flight..muka macam jual tauhu. Muka kemut macam tahan bau kentut busuk.   She have a flat face as if baru jatuh bangunan. Jahat kan mulut aku! But why bother kan?

I chose zon senyap. Pay extra. Tah apa yang senyapnya tah…sama je bisingnya! Yang hairannya, penumpang bayar extra utk zone senyap…pastu dorang pulak yg bising. Apa kejadahnya bayar extra kan? Ambil ear pluck atau pasang MP3. Why bother kan?

Meal time. The stewardess handed over the meal that I have ordered. Not a single word from her.  She should have a button on her uniform that says SAYA BISU or Don't Talk To Me…I have my period today….Never mind lahh..as long as the meal sampai dan the meal yang dipesan tu betul. Why bother dia cakap ke tidak kan?

I remembered how the meal looks like….nothing like the gambar yg ditunjukkan dalam website.  Dah la kemek foil tu. Dah jatuh lantai ke? erkkk

After meal….dorang buat inflight sales. You can see perbezaan muka stewardess tu now. She sells something so she decided to smile la kan. Muka macam penari tiang..tunggu customer selit duit celah kopek…hahaha. Since I am not buying anything….why bother?



After a while, a friend of mine ask the stewardess if she could dimmed the lights. She said "CANNOT..we are doing sales right now" Oh! tak bisu rupanyer.
I looked at the back. The sales cart tu jauh kat belakang cabin sekarang.

The thing is the lighting system dalam cabin boleh dicontrol  mengikut section atau zone. My travel companion dah sakit hati sebab dia nak tidur…as for me…since I am not sleepy….so why bother kan?

Maybe dorang tak nak tutup lampu kabin sebab nak jual eye shades dorang kot. Entah la. Cina depan tu bawak sendiri .dari rumah...so dia dah berdengkur pun. Zzzz

Dalam two hours before landing…dahaga pula rasa tekak ni. Air dah habis. So decided to order a bottle  of water. So we pushed the call button.

After a while….the stewardess came and attend to us.  We asked for two bottles of mineral water.

She replied. "You have to wait! We are starting our service shortly" and quickly left.

Dia punya shortly..setengah jam. 

Haihhh.. nak bayar pun kena tunggu jugak ke. Kalau kita sangat dahaga..sakit hati tak ken a tunggu setengah jam? How hard is it to get two bottles of water from the galley? FYI…the galley just two rows behind our seat jer.

I understand ..it would be easier for them …sekali harung je kerja kan...but think la. At least say like this "We are starting our service soon….if you don't mind you can have your bottle of water by then" At least ask la…ni with no option …I have to wait…puiiii.

Dalam hati ada pulak stewardess yang tercekik botol sat lagi!

While waiting my turn to the toilet…my travelling companion asked me…Ray…tu apa? I told her…itu oven…where you heat the meals.

The stewardess stared dan soap jeling at us masa dia tengah buat service. As if, both of us staring at her backside. She came to us and warned us "Don't touch! Don't touch!" siap jeling lagi kau…hahaha.

Bila pulak aku usik oven kau! Masuk pun tak. Just tunjuk from a distance je.

Ray teringat…ada jenis penumpang yang curious bila naik kapal terbang. Apa yang my friend tanya tu..ramai pernah buat perkara yang sama.

Once a upon a time…Ray pernah nampak dua orang penumpang…terjenguk2 ke dalam galley.
Did I go to them and tell them not to touch anything? No.
What I did was…I asked them politely..what can I help them with. 

They answered…saja je tengok bang. curious! they said. I politely asked them to sit down and promised them that I will show them once I am free and try to answer all  their curiosity.

Can you see the difference? Which approach would you prefer as a passenger?

Why do I need to bother with all this kan? Just let it be and forget all about it. ..lantak lahhh..why bother???

I pity the airline for having few (not one) stupid crew working for them.

Some say…haiyaa ray..you are so fussy..you kan ex crew mesti la you cerewet!

I have lowered my expectation…in fact tak expect apa-apa pun sebenarnya. I didn't even complain. I could't be bothered pun actually. Just sharing my point of view sahaja. 

If I terganggu that much, I probably would have complaint or write in my blog once mendarat! hahaha.

Amboi stewardess tu garang betull.. Tak pernah jumpa yang garang macam tu.. kalau yang tak senyum (mungkin lupa senyum) tu pernah lah. Tapi tak ada marah2 penumpang.

Xpernah jumpa? huhuhu. Nasib mmg baik lah tu. Harap2 beterusan xjumpa sbb kalau dah jumpa sakit hati ini..hahaha
